Have your own wedding at a castle… Exactly this dream was fulfilled last year by Christoph and Sabine at Amerang Castle on Lake Chiemsee. And I was allowed to accompany them as a photographer.
A childhood dream of so many… Having your own wedding in a castle…
Exactly this dream was realized last year by Christoph and Sabine. And I was allowed to accompany the two on the beautiful castle Amerang at Lake Chiemsee as a photographer at their wedding. The wedding, this castle and the entire landscape around it were really the amazing.
The castle near Lake Chiemsee dates back to the 11th century and directly adjacent is also the stud farm of Amerang Castle. For horse owners like Sabine and me, this is really incredible. Together we didn’t know where to start and where to stop taking pictures of this wedding. Everywhere these beautiful details and new angles in which dream wedding photos could be made….
Since the way to Chiemsee is a bit longer and I show up to every wedding more than on time, we already went to Chiemsee one day before. So I had the possibility to have a look at the location and to think about alternatives for rain or other unforeseen events.
The next morning it started for me as a photographer immediately with the getting ready of both.
After the absolutely moving wedding ceremony with a relative as clergyman was performed in the monastery Seeon, the party could go on in the castle.
After having coffee and cake in the castle garden in the afternoon, we moved to the castle in the evening. For weddings and other celebrations there is in fact a covered atrium.
And the phenomenal food from Peppi Kalteis in the afternoon and evening left nothing to be desired and was truly unique.
After we celebrated there together in Amerang Castle with the Isartones, they could spend the night in their castle room. When do you ever have the opportunity to wake up after such a cool party in historic walls….
For me as a wedding photographer, the day was extremely exhausting, but it was definitely one of my absolute highlights in 2019.
Actually, we also wanted to take wedding photos with Sabine’s horses that day, but unfortunately the stalls at Amerang Castle were all occupied at the time. Therefore, we just made up for it later in an after wedding photo shoot….
