Was für eine traumhafte, nachhaltige und vegane Hochzeit mit einer ganz besonderen freien Trauung unter freiem Himmel in Ruhpolding…
Wow – I look back on this dream wedding in September in the magical Holzknechtmuseum in Ruhpolding with happiness and deep gratitude. I had the pleasure of getting to know Sarah and Maike a few years ago when they were maids of honor at a wedding in Fürstenfeldbruck, which I was allowed to attend shortly after Corona.
The two of them are incredibly amazing, open and caring people and when they wrote to me at the beginning of 2023 asking if I would like to accompany their free wedding ceremony in Ruhpolding, I was delighted.
Wedding with two absolute sweethearts
Even when planning their big day, you could tell that they put an incredible amount of thought into making it a perfect day, especially for their guests. For example, the witnesses were only asked on the wedding day during the civil ceremony whether they wanted to be their witnesses, because Maike and Sarah didn’t want them to have so much to do in the run-up to planning and implementing the day.
Sustainable and vegan catering
They even prepared a large part of the incredibly delicious and purely vegan buffet themselves. And I can still say a few months after the wedding – the food was simply amazing. Until that day, I had never eaten purely vegan food myself. From the canapés to the cake buffet, the candy bar (since then I no longer like “normal” gummy bears and have switched to the vegan version) to the extensive starter buffet and the outstanding main courses, which were then conjured up by www.manjas-cantina.de, the food was simply outstanding.
The free wedding ceremony under the open sky
However, it was also very important to the couple that the entire decoration and wedding were designed to be sustainable. Most of the items were sourced in advance via Ebay and part of their own living room was also used to decorate the outdoor wedding. Everything was decorated with infinite love and was therefore incredibly authentic and loving… Just like the whole day was. Despite the really nasty weather in the morning, the day started with a wonderful, very emotional and personal civil wedding ceremony at the registry office in Siegsdorf.
With umbrellas to the bridal couple photo shoot
Armed with umbrellas, we then made our way to the photo shoot to conjure up some great pictures for the two of them. And lo and behold – we didn’t even need the umbrellas. It was dry the whole time (from above) and the wet shoes were simply blasted away by Maike and Sarah’s incredibly good mood. We had a lot of fun with the wedding photos despite the freezing temperatures and in the meantime we managed between a few dead spots via cell phone that the free wedding ceremony should take place outside under the trees – which was absolutely the right decision.
An emotional wedding ceremony
Under the trees with this atmosphere, the absolute love between the two of them, an unforgettably great wedding speech and the best guests who put the icing on the cake of the whole ceremony, it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have had the pleasure of attending. I also shed a tear or two on this day and am so incredibly grateful that I was able to experience this wonderful wedding day as a wedding photographer. The party went on well into the night and the atmosphere was just perfect the whole day. THANK YOU dear Maike, thank you dear Sarah for your trust and thank you also to all your guests who welcomed me soooooo warmly the whole day.
