This little mouse was born shortly before the Corona outbreak and the associated lockdown. Conceivably unfavorable conditions for a newborn photo shoot… We had to cancel the scheduled appointment unfortunately without further ado.
The parents were sad at first, of course, because there were no classic newborn pictures – but the pictures from our “catch-up shooting” compensate for this many times over.

At 4 months, we were able to do the baby photo shoot with the current hygiene regulations. I am having an incredible amount of fun photographing this age: It’s just a great age, as the little ones already react to their environment and me. They laugh a lot and visibly enjoy everything that is happening around them.
Even lifting their heads in the prone position works great at this age.

This creates a completely different kind of baby pictures, which I personally love very, very much.
Relatively clean and reduced only to the baby, you can see here already the newly learned skills, such as lifting heads.

Such a baby photo shoot usually takes me between 60 minutes and 1.5 hours. As with a “real” newborn photo shoot, I give the babies enough time and enough breaks to rest if they need it.

I usually start such a shoot with photos of the baby alone. And if the baby then needs the physical proximity to the parents, we make family photos with mom and dad – and two-person photos that show the mom-baby or dad-baby relationship.
