Wedding at Höhenried Castle

Höhenried Castle with its beautiful parks is one of my favorite places not only for me as a photographer. It is the perfect place for a dream wedding.

Wow – what a day. A wedding as a photographer at Höhenried Castle on Lake Starnberg. As a wedding photographer, my heart beats faster every time. The conditions for an absolute dream wedding could not be better here.

The castle Höhenried with its beautiful parks is one of my personal favorite places. Even as a child, I spent a lot of time here, because my grandmother lived in Höhenried. That’s why I’m still very attached to this place today.

Franka and Philipp said “I do” at their wedding directly in front of Höhenried Castle during a free wedding ceremony. As the photographer of the wedding, this was of course mega for me: a dreamlike backdrop on the edge of Lake Starnberg. Quasi like a fairy tale wedding: A castle in nature with a beautiful park and then the lake…

As a surprise, Franka was driven to Philipp, her groom, on a lovingly decorated Vespa. The guests and he were amazed at this unique appearance of the bride.

After an absolutely emotional wedding ceremony, the afternoon began with the cutting of the wedding cake and the traditional tapping of the beer barrel. Of course, one or the other Bavarian tradition was not to be missed. Afterwards, however, the celebration was exuberant – when do you ever have such a location as the castle in Höhenried for yourself and your guests… The party went on until the early morning hours.

The weather, the location, the atmosphere and especially the great guests made this wedding an unforgettable highlight for me as well. I still like to think back on it.
