Again and again my couples are afraid of bad weather at the wedding, because then you supposedly can not take good wedding photos. But this does not have to be.
For months you plan your wedding. In your imagination it is the perfect day with sunshine and one or two clouds in the sky. Nothing stands in the way of the free wedding ceremony.
The wedding day is getting closer and closer and you probably look at five different weather reports to find the one that predicts the best weather. One day before, however, it is certain that the probability that it will rain is very high. And all five weather reports say the same thing.
This should not be a drama for you as a bride and groom. If you already have a plan B in the planning, then even bad weather will not upset you. The most important thing is that your wedding location offers outdoor and indoor possibilities for your wedding ceremony and your celebration (if it should take place outdoors). With my experience from quite a few weddings, I now also have an eye for ways out in case it rains during the wedding photos.
Also at this wedding in Garmisch, a free wedding ceremony on the meadow with a view of the Zugspitze was planned. But unfortunately, things turned out differently – the Zugspitze only showed itself in the early evening, after the clouds had cleared. Until then, unfortunately, it had rained continuously.
The ceremony had to be moved to the indoors, but this did not detract from the wedding and the mood.
Wedding + rain = bad wedding photos? No way! See the wedding pictures for yourself: a happy bride and groom can outshine even the worst rain. With each of my brides and grooms, I discuss in advance possible locations we can use in the rain. I also bring appropriate umbrellas that are perfect for romantic rain photos. And look at it from another angle: great wedding photos in the rain are not for everyone. Don’t worry – be happy: your wedding will be great and a unique celebration even if it rains.
