Civil wedding in traditional dress

In the closest family circle, this sweet couple celebrated their civil wedding in traditional costume in Weilheim. I just love this Bavarian tradition so much.

Most of the couples I photograph want to celebrate their church weddings in the traditional white. That’s why many of my couples decide to wear traditional costumes for their civil wedding. How beautiful and authentic this looks on your wedding photos, I would like to show you here.

I love the traditional wedding custom because it reflects our traditions in Bavaria. So the wedding dirndl and lederhosen are a great contrast to the white dress and wedding suit.

This sweet couple also celebrated their civil wedding in Weilheim in October last year in traditional dress. The two are very close to home and family – and you could feel that very much. The wedding took place at the registry office in Weilheim in a close family circle. The highlight was that a close friend, who had just completed her training as a registrar, performed the ceremony together with the Weilheim registrar. This special moment totally touched the two of them.

After the registry office, there was a super sweet reception from the colleagues. Immediately afterwards, they went straight to the wedding shoot in the little blue hugging ball – an old Renault Quatrelle. And the balloons blew out to the skylight. For the wedding photos we just used one of my heart places near Weilheim: A beautiful lake in the middle of a forest….

With a Bavarian tradition, the guests already awaited the bride and groom at the celebration location: Together they had to saw through their first tree trunk. The guests then celebrated in a relaxed atmosphere at the Wieshof in Marnbach. Surrounded by meadows and forests, the wedding location is currently an absolute insider tip for small, sweet wedding celebrations. Here, absolute value is placed on homemade products with natural ingredients from their own farm. Simply beautiful.

I personally like such weddings very much, because am an absolute fan of unspoiled nature and secluded locations for your small celebration. There you can simply celebrate the most beautiful day of your life with your loved ones undisturbed.
